The Navy type IF6 & IFR4 circuit breakers are designed and
manufactured by FKI Switchgear in accordance with military
specification MIL-C-17587B(SH), 18th April 1983 and amendments to date,
and as a result of our many years experience as switchgear specialists,
we have added other desirable features to the satisfaction of both the
operator and the switchboard builder. |
- The IF6 circuit breaker type ACB 2000 HR is rated for a continuous
current of 2000A, and meets the rating requirements of 1600A / 2000A,
and the motor starting duties associated with both ratings.
- The IFR4 circuit breaker type ACB 4000 HR is rated for a
continuous current of 4000A, and meets the rating requirements of 3200A
/ 4000A, and the motor starting duties associated with both
ratings.
- The circuit breakers are trip free such that the circuit breaker is free to trip during any part of the closing operation.
- A facility for manual operation is provided for maintenance purposes.

Each circuit breaker is housed in a shock proof cassette which is
designed for switchboard mounting and is also fully withdrawable by a
worm and wheel racking mechanism designed for a operation up to 30º
inclined plane with complete safety for the operator on a 30º list.
When fully withdrawn position, the circuit breaker can be tilted
towards giving access to the rear of the circuit breaker and to both
the Primary and secondary disconnects.
The support rails are fitted with catches to ensure that the rails
are held fully extended whilst removing or re-fitting the circuit
breaker.
